The bottom rear of my sliding door has started to rattle as I drive along. :(

You can pull the door back and forth about 1cm at the bottom rear corner.

It certainly didn't do this before.

I dont know much about the sliding door mechanism.

Has a guide, roller or bush worn or fallen out ?.

Is it a door off job to check or repair ?.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

did you pull the door handle verticle to lock the door in tight? just a thought.

Thanks but its not that.

I was wondering if the door seal was worn allowing the door to move when closed.

It looks very flat.

Not sure its the same thing...but I had a problem with my sliding door yesterday. I could close and lock it but the rear of the door stuck out. Traced the problem to the rear locking lever mechanism - it was stuck in the locked position and therefore wouldn't engage with the pin on the door frame. Was able to free it by taking the side panel off and a bit of pulling and pushing - not very scientific but solved the problem. I think I had tried to close the door having inadvertently 'locked' the door whilst it was open and banging it closed a few times just made the problem worse...
