I have finaly finished my next winter project, a sand blasting cabbinet.

I did look at buying one, but at £700 for a decent sized one, I decided to build one at a final cost of £130

Take one metal box, of unknown origin.

attach legs and a v shapped trough to cath the blast media

Install Lighting, two 100 watt outside light holders

Cut holes for arms and viewing window, thats a 15"x9" wheel in there to give you an idea of the size

Glass and gloves fitted, and ready to blast

Next up my powder coating cabbinet......
 
Looking good! what are you using to protect the glass on the inside? ;)

Im using a sheet of think clear plastic that can be replaced, its the same as sealey supply with their blast cabinets ;)

I'll tell you the origin, this is the base unit for a coffee machine. Dave at work has 1 for his toolbox roll cab! :lol:

I really am being serious :shock:

I thought it was something like that, I have another one that I will be converting into an oven for my powdercoating booth, quite handy to be honest.
