does any body tow with there bay?? when we brought our bay my wife sold her caravan to finance the buy of our bay, after camping a few times in our bay she has decided to buy another caravan, would love to tow the caravan with my bay, wife happy me happy sorted :D , the only prop i have is i no that my bay aint going to have the power to pull a caravan weighing in at around 1,000 kg, was thinking of removing roof racks as they weight a ton, and also cooker and sink unit, need more power any ideas?? scooby engine maybe 8)

Hi!

There is a really nice 65 Eriba Puck on here for sale at £1895 which i think is cheap, as i have seen one go for over 2K, they are light too at about 500kgs?

I would love one, but no space at home.

I dont know what the towing capacitys of a stock earlybay are, with only 50 bhp or so, pulling the skin of a rice pudding springs to mind............ ;)

Put it this way, you aint gonna be going up Porlock Hill with it!

Cheers!

Alistair.

Mines pulled my old skool BMW 5 series which is built like a tank with ease :D

I would'nt wanna do it for a long trip though

I pulled an Eriba Puck with mine as well and it was no bother at all. Price wise for a good one around £2000 - £2800, Bug Puck in Belgium is a good source and if they haven't got stock they will hunt one down and give you first option before they post on their own website. Also have a look on the SSVC Forum site as pucks and other small caravans pop up on there from time to time, this was a beauty (If you like that sort of thing  )) that sold recently

you'll be able to tow a small 2 berth caravan ie better still a Puck as mentioned above. Ive towed a car trailer with a Polo on, its was ok, but a bit power lacking up hills etc.

As long as your engine is in good conditon you should be fine.

It was sold as a commerical vehicle so is intend to carry/pull some weight!

:msn4: My eriba pan

For sale is this rock solid 1974 eriba pan/familia bought from the first owner.
The caravan sleeps 2 adults and 2 children (1 on the front bed and 1 in the hanging cod who is not in the pictures).
Empty weight 500 loaded 690kg.
It comes with a beautifull original awning that has not been used much and a sun canopy (new).
In 2004 it got new brakes, shocks, tyres, bearings and a new vulcanised rubbers in the rear axle all in worth of €1000,-
Bikerack is also new!

I'm asking 2000 GBP

NICE!!!!^^^^^

Oldschool caravans all the way, shouldnt have any trouble as most of them are realy light.

This is my 1963 Mostard Yvonne imported from Holland about 3 years ago by http://www.oldscoolcaravans.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; i believe they were called. I was told it weighs 350kg, i reckon its a little more but tows fine.

If we can pull this 1961 4-berth Astral with our bug (which we restored), I'm sure you'd be fine with a van
