Just replaced my j tubes with two heat exchangers. Went to fit the flexible plastic tubes which connect to the 'Y' piece but my 'Y' metal piece is rotten. I can't find there anywhere new. Is there a way to somehow bypass this and go straight into the main long tube underneath the van (ie, direct piece of duct from each exchanger straight into the tube?). The 'Y' piece seemed to be in there really solid so am guessing is welded (or corroded) in.

Thanks for any advice

I had to repair one of those bits also.

I used a cut off I had from the main heater pipe. Cut down the length, closed up and re-welded. It doesn't look overly pretty but I am fairly certain it will do the job (the rubbers all fit snuggly).

Have a look at the thread in my signature.
