The front guide bush is straight forward to do in theory, you take out the gear lever assembley, then get underneath and you'll see there is a metal rod under where the lever goes about 2 foot long and joins onto the rest of the shift rod with a tight fitting sleeve joint. This bit is usually...
I fitted a 2 litre late bay CP code gearbox in my 1970 bay and it is correct, the rear mount is different (linkage end) this just swapped over. Also the input shaft is longer. Here you have a few options as it won't fit the standard 200mm flywheel. If you do swap the end cover over then whilst...
I've got the blue and orange one too ,but no filler flap or box.I like it because it's a 1970 Dormy like my real one.Maybe I'll respray the model to match it!
I just noticed this rare Dormobile D4/8 on ebay.

I'm not sure sure what roof option Westfalia used, but probably the same as for the Westfalia roof. The Dormobile roof on the Westfalia model is located much further back in the roof compared to an origanal Dormobile roof.It looks like the hole would be further back compared to a front hinged...
The universal ones will work as long as you're careful when you cut the end you don't need off as you'll end up with the threads of steel unravalling which isn't good.Use a sharp pair of tin snips.
Apart from that torn sheet which I don't think is anything to do with the Dormy interior it all looks useable and saleable. It would be over here anyway.I'm not too sure about the demand in Canada though? The removeable seats you have have little swing out legs that attach to some alloy channels...
I've just seen from your M plate that you have a RHD April 1969.You'll have to give the parts suppliers a chance to correct the problem, give them a call to sort it out.
Also can you measure the total length of the old cable as this might also help.
What month in 1969 was your bus made in? I got a cable for my RHD 1970 bus which is designed for 8/69 - 7/72 which has the wiggle through end on it.
Is you bus left or right hand drive?
You should be able to get the right cable,so keep trying.
