2024 started off ok, did a couple of pub stopovers and Glampfest, then the year turned to ratshit. Threw the flywheel on the way to Glampfest, but still had a good weekend. Took 4 days to get the bus home with the RAC. Then we had the devastating news that out daughter in law had cancer and we lost her in August, then I had cancer which after an operation it seems that I am clear. (first review in Dec).
So after the problem with the engine which was removed so I can rebuild it, have only just started again. have booked again for Glampfest again next year and looking forward to getting the old girl out on the road soon.

I seem to be totally surrounded by all of these events and issues recently. Im really feeling for you .Wanna think that your results are firm . :)

Ozziedog ,,,,,,hopefully less catastrophic next year :)

So sad . Hope your health carries on improving and you get to use your bus soon. Sending positive vibes fella 🌈👍

Sorry to read this , condolences for your loss and the best of luck going forward.
Let’s hope 2025 is more positive

Thanks for all your support.
Finally got the engine rebuilt. New cool tins fitted (hoping they work). Going to fit the brake servo which I have had lying around for 2 years, only now got the cold weather and snow this week so leaving that off for a while.

Cold weather had no effect on me or my enthusiasm for a long long time, however cold weather can take the edge off it for me now and I tend to think about things a lot more than actually doing them. In my mind that’s stuff getting done at lightening speed because I’ve had a real deep and meaningful thunk about how I was gonna do it, therefore it gets done way way quicker.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,, it’s my mind and it’s very tidy in there ! :)

Sorry for your loss.

And hoping it's only good news for you moving fallward.

Sure you will get some miles on the bus 2025.

Sorry for your loss, hope you and your family are doing ok.

Cool tins don’t really have any benefit on an upright type 1 engine, they won’t make it run hotter but they won’t make it run cooler either. Full type 1 tin is what you want, keeps my 10:1 2276 running at perfect temps.
