I lied ive actually got 2 questions. I was just wondering is it possible to fit 71 spindels to a earlier bus? becasue was planning to upgrade to disc brakes and the 5-112 bolt pattern ( for new fuch wheels) Im also heard that futbus make rear brakes kits for 71 and onwards busses will theese...

Ive found some origianal early bay seats but with headrests I think it could make the early bay a bit more modern

twin carbs can improve economy but not weber IDAs they would be over kill on a 1600 tp

I'm not sure if you could make it work or not because I think rear shocks are longer and frimer (because of the weight at the back) and they may not fit properly and cause something bad to happen...

Ive heard of split charge relays on alternators working no prob but arnet dynamos less efficent and produce alot less power?

Its always the small, tiny, untracable parts which are the hardest to find I think wolfsburg west does alot of standard parts for vws but im not sure. hope you can find that fuel gauge.

good things about theese busses that the mot man cant charge you over the odds for a new radiator or engine computer.

one question ? what type of carb is it becasue it said made in Japan. that middle section looks like its a replacement and looks oddly rusty in comparison to the rest of it. the answer to your original question is I think it might be useable but im not entirely sure.

if you really want to have 2 sets of numberplates it might ruin the lookyou could have age related plates form the dvla, i think the older style uk ones are legal.

i've heard of csp front brake conversions, altough their price is steep (£800!) you can still retain that wide five stud pattern but the only snag is that it fits bays up to 1970 with a king link pin axle. I'm not sure if bays that early were fitted with king link pins or that they had been...
