    What fuse should i use?

Better still choose a fuse that will protect the wiring not the 'appliance'. E.G.If the pump draws 2Amps wire it with 4Amp cable and protect with a 3 Amp fuse. Cheers James

    Handy for Stanford Hall-ish

Stayed one night only at Wicksteed Park, Kettering on Thurs. Pretty empty on the day we stayed and spotless new shower block. No electric but 20 quid per pitch and no extras. Car parking alone at Wicksteed fun park would be 6.50 so not too bad I think. Remember to stock up on stuff thoug...

repair panel - with pics !

Hi all Anyone know if you can get a repair panel at the rear of the cargofloor where it slopes down in front of teh fuel tank. Mine's rotted out near the join where the two hot air ducts come through for the rear passengers. Looked at Schofields VWH etc.. but nothing obvious. Cheers James

    fitting rear seatbelt mounts

The seat belt mounting plates are generally used for the anchors at the bottom (lap) points. The point where you mount the inertia reel at the back is a captive nut in part of the 'superstructure' IIRC. I guess then that you can just weld in the nut, BUT this will need to be done neatly and be...

Baby Dells - FRD Manifolds HELP......

Have you got the linkage ? If not and it cannot be bought, I might be inclined to sell them on. You might find it easier and ultimately less costly to get a complete kit of twin carbs. JS

    Relief valve washer/gasket

Hi All Changing the oil soon and will attempt to fix the oil-weep from the backmost pressure relief valve. I think this should be a copper washer. Does anyone know if this a standard component that can be bought from Halfords for example ? Any alternatives to copper ? Cheers JS

    Wow !

After too long in the garage I fitted the ICT 34s to the 1776 about 3-4 weeks ago in place of a 32/36 progressive BUT it was only on Saturday I could get the bus out for a quick test drive. Well like err WOW. I reckon about 20% better performance. Accelerating up hills in 3rd and more. I was...

Whats the best case for an engine build?

If possible get one with the 3 rear mounting bar holes. As said above you can get an adapter that bolts onto the oil pump cover studs but some stories claim these can affect the integrity of the case. What's more they make fitting full-flow pump cover just about impossible  . IIRC...

    1600cc sp motor deck height????

I don't think you can take the barrels off in situ. so you can probably check the deck height but not alter it as this needs spacers at the base of the barrels. To check it you will need to bolt down the barrel using some spacers (sockets work well). Then a (very) straight edge and some feeler...
