    Engine hatch hinges. Stuck fast.

So, I'm waiting for my new fuel hose and fittings to arrive, so decided to move on to another project on the to-do list -- replacing the worn out hinges and fitting new hinge seals on the engine hatch. Hinge bolts are a combination of rusty and painted over and they appear to be stuck fast...

    Engine turns over. Won't start.

A couple of weeks ago all I got when I turned the ignition key was a "click". Initially thought it was a starter motor issue, but turned out to be a dodgy ignition switch instead. Finally got all my electrics sorted including new ignition switch/lock, indicator stalk and headlight switch, but...

Ignition Lock Cylinder & Barrel Weirdness

Finally getting around to replacing the hack of an ignition switch installed by the PO on my 71 Westy: Managed to source replacement parts (housing, lock and ignition starter-switch) but something doesn't seem right with the lock barrel within the cylinder. Everything lines up when the...

    Westy baltic birch headliner replacement

Attempting to replace the plywood headliner in a 71 Westy. I don't have good original ceiling panels to use as templates - water damage for one, and the "originals" didn't fit well anyway. PO had the grain going the wrong way and covered the ply in cheap white vinyl. I've cut the rear ceiling...

    What's this?

I've got my Westy folding bed out at the moment and am cleaning up some of the paint/rust areas before reinstalling the bed. Not sure what the "hole" is in the pic below.... Any ideas? Should it be there?

    Westy tailgate/hatch plywood

Redoing my interior at the moment..... Silly question, but is the grain supposed to run horizontally or vertically on the tailgate birch plywood?

    Westy cupboard door trim

Anyone know of a supplier for the plastic edging trim around the Westy cupboard doors? It's like the standard t-moulding, but has an extra lip which hides the gap between the door and cupboard. Thanks in advance, --Steve
