hi all i have friend who's fuel sender is kaput, is there any way to repair them, i have contact through the thin wires but where the wire solders to the copper looking piece there appears to be no connection to the main metal body of the sender is there a fix?

i would be interested to know if any one who has fitted a pertronix kit has increased the air gap to increase the dwell. i have fitted my kit, with the spec air gap my dwell is 57 i have read that more dwell is better, i could increase the air gap i have some adjustment left on the pertronix...

simply, are my twin solex 32/34 now to small for my 1911 with mild cam, these carbs were on a 2.0 type 25 so i thought they would work ok but my van is getting hot at 3.200 revs iam seeing 110c on the f**king temp gauge, timing is right at about max 30 deg btdc @ 3000rpm, valves spot on. so...

does anyone know how a bay tank vents? by vent i mean where is air drawn in to prevent a vacume. is there supposed to be a hole in the fuel cap or does the tank breath through the evap tubes that run from the tank and then return to the air filter box. any clues???

having removed the petrol tank from the bay i want to know if anyone on here has used a tank sealer such as slosh, creme, por15,red kite or any other brands on their tanks did you have any problems? iam aware that ethenol in petrol can cause certain sealers to peel away from tank surfaces it...
