    AO gearbox.... Any good?????

Hey folks, I've got hold of a gearbox with code AO stamped on the case and I was wondering how it stacks up against other boxes. My own box seems to be crunching 2nd so I was planning a swap but if the AO box is an inherently bad gearbox then I'll find another instead. Thanks!

    Wanted 67/68 hazard switch

Are you sure you're looking for the right switch? my 68' just had a 2 pin pull switch (same style as heated screen I believe) and a big blue multi pin relay mounted on the support for the seering column. I confirmed all the parts etc against my bently and it was definately supposed to be like...

    Fitting a table

Pop in to wicks and have a look in the section with all the garage shelf brackets, bike hangers etc. You should find a heavy duty, three position foulding shelf bracket rated at about 20kg each. Use two and you wont need a leg at all...

    Best place for erberspacher

most people seem to sick their heaters inside the van (in buddy seat, cabinet or under bed etc) then just route the exhaust out rather than warm air in. I've been toying with the idea of mounting one in the small space under the front seat next to the walkthrough if I can find a unit small...

Hi folks, I've finally decided that its definately time to sell my 71' project that I imported from Callifornia last year. I'd love to keep it but I've got other more important projects planned along with a potential job move so I'm just not going to get any time to put into it this year...

clasic car rescue - campervan restoration

So did anyone else see 'Clasic Car Rescue' the other week with the Westy on it? Admittedly it was a 67' split not a bay. And did anyone else wretch a little when they trashed the westy interior, chucked the side doors at the scrap heap then removed the front screens by smashing them out from...

Corroding fuel tank in my 68 westy.

Mines been in and out three times so far! cleaned and degreased with vinigar and bicarbonate of soda first time but ended up resorting to a very strong soak in caustic soda over night in the end. I think its done the trick this time but I'm still getting some fine crap in the filters and float...

    Interior options

I nearly forgot, dont bother with the type of table that require a seperate leg with the big attatchment in the floor to stand them in, they just eat storage space as you need somewhere to stow them. A much better one is the westy syle folding table that attatches to the long panel oposite the...

    Interior options

An overhead locker and a buddy seat with a hinged lid behind the driver would add plenty of extra space. If you fix the buddy seat to the bulkhead with quick release fastenings (race car bonnet pin style) then its a 30 second job to remove if you needed the space back. Maybe also worth adding a...
