Thanks Chad. I had a look at all the usual places, but I was really after some original old ones. I decided to bite the bullet and buy some off a US seller on eBay. It was $100 for the pair, so about the same price as new reproduction ones, but probably better made. I wanted to experiment...

Has anyone got a spare pair of clear reverse light units for sale?... I believe the part number is 98-9624-B. I'm looking for the complete unit with the reflector & lens etc. Cheers, Tim

If you fit the pedal lock it might ground your steering column which will sound the horn when the ignition is on. I put some PVC tape on mine to stop this. I also drilled a hole so I can just fit the top bar using a padlock. Much easier and lighter but still stops pedals working.

I second fdts, they are fantastic. I drove in the day before I wanted to go camping and they came out showed me samples that I could match to the paintwork in the daylight then they cut a full set of five belts to my preferred length. They fitted them into the inertia reel holders I'd fitted...

I've got a birch roof and have replaced all the bulbs with leds. I have the standard westy three bulb light in the back (switchable between 0,1,2 and 3 bulbs) and the roof light in the cab with one more bulb. I would say it is more than enough. We normally switch on just one or two bulbs as full...

Mines from USA too. The previous owner changed the headlights, but at the back he kept the usa lenses and used the reverse light housing for indicators by putting orange bulbs in the holders and rewiring. I've not got any reversing lights now (not needed for the MOT.) You can try all three...
