as others have said, drill the old ones out and rivet the new ones in! easy as pie, the rivets dont stick out the drum side - well they do, but no where near enough to foul anything. if you get them right, they will not move and the hubcaps you place forth on them will not come off in a hurry!

if the clips on your wheels are new or in good nick, i wouldn't worry too much! they really do take a hammering to get on and wont come off unless you have a screwdriver or something or chisel-shaped fingers.
