Great bus you got there. They made a really nice job of the dash too - the dials look just right. I like the look of those A4 alloys too - were they the right offset and did they go straight on or were they modified do you know?
Its a great find - well done :)

Thanks! The alloys were slightly machined at the back to go over the rear hubs and have spacers front and rear. Apart from that they fit great. No problems with tyre rubbing either.
Not really my thing though that's why they're being changed (soon for sale)

Finally got all the new wheels on. The backs still need repainting.

Mmm... satin black!

Still fairly low at the front without messing the speedo up too much.

And it keeps its raked stance!

:D

just stumbled accross previous thread from this bus in florida

lookin good :D

Looks like a really nice rack there.
Couple of questions - how easy is it to get stuff on and off the rack?
Does it make much extra noise when you drive and does it affect your speed and mpg much?

Thanks.

It's fairly easy to get stuff up there. It usually ends up with me climbing up there though.
Surprisingly it doesn't make any extra noise. I imagine it will affect the mpg slightly but still goes 55mph no problem

Bit of an update...

Replacing the almost non existing door seals.
Also the window seals and trim. After lots of trouble with quality from a certain parts supplier i finally went to someone and they fitted perfectly.

At least the inside of the door was solid. Quick coat of wax and it was all back together

Probably due for an update or two...

Well this is how it looked last time it was out at Volksworld 2010

Now back to original wide 5 all round with a stock split beam up front with adjusters.
Still needs to lower the back another spline.
It's taken so long as my dad and I are doing it all ourselves.
