Hello folks,

Just in the progress of tidying up and checking the integrity of the wiring loom on our bus and have started at the dash end. So far, I've cleaned a **** load of years of dust off the wires themselves, so I can at least see what colours they are! The majority look to have not been tampered with, the main difference I've found so far is a later (I presume?) hazard switch and indicator relay fitted. What I'm wondering though, is where should the relays mount? I'm not too comfortable zip-tying them to something in case they short circuit, but the 68 fuse box does not appear to have anything to mount them to. Anyone know how they were from factory?

I thought I was missing some sort of mounting bracket for the relays, but it would appear not. Just need to find a way of securing the 'newer' relays without mounting lugs whilst I go in search of some original parts. At least my wiring will match the diagram again that way.

The diagram always looks much neater :) which ones are you missing? The headlamp relay I had from Heritage a few years back had the lug

I believe (based on looking at the newer models wiring diagram) that our hazard switch and indicator relay have been retrofitted with newer items. Our hazard switch has about 10 connections, and relay has only 4 or so. I believe our switch has some sort of relay built into it, whereas the original 68 relay carries out this function. Not sure if that makes sense, but looking at your pic, your relay is much larger with more connections than ours, but I imagine the switches are the other way round. It might explain why some of the wiring looks a little stretched across to our switch...

Yup that's sounds about right to me. Do you need part numbers?
