SOLD !!!!!
I have decided to sell my red and white 69 bay.
She has history from 69 with origional service book and hundreds of recipts, mainly from 1989 onwards.
Its MOT and TAXED till March 2012 and runs sweet (just done a 250mile trip from my parents house).
1600cc twinport and all the electricals work (apart from the intermittent washers?)
There is nothing in the rear and will need your own version of an interior as the rear seats/bed etc i took out were way past it. However all the side panels are still ok.
The pop top works fine and still has the origional stretchers, there is a small hole in the bellows that would be an easy cloth patch repair (bellows will not need replacing)
There is some work to be done though :-
It needs welding work on the rear inner arches,and bed floor in the corners.
The rear external corners and battery trays would benefit from being renewed, and the rear exterior arches could do with being redone as they are starting to show rust blisters under the paint.
The front Panel will need a small plate under the windscreen, as the repair with a piece of plastic isnt really up to the job?? ;-0
There will be other places that will need looking at too, but not as essential as the ones mentioned.
Ive had a quote to have all of the work done and it was in the region of £3500
These are the main areas and you could of course go for a full resto on any vw from 1969, but this will be perfect for a rolling/driving resto.
I want £3500 No offers or swaps
(unless its for a sorted RHD early, lowered, og paint, tintop...with cash your way)
