hi all
just got a front beam sorted, for my shell rebuild.
now thinking about the rear,
does anyone know, if rear torsion beam and spring plates, are the same on a late bay,as early bay
as a friend said that they have different splines and longer or shorter spring plates.
any advice would be great

mines a 1970 bay
thx boody

Your friend is correct. Later springplates are longer than early ones.
Dropped springplates I know, but you can see the difference in splines between early ('68-'71),

and later ('71-'79)

thx guys
if i was to get a late bay and take all the rear irs and torsion beam of would these swap over.
sorry if i sound a idiot !
new to veeduds
thx again

I didn't know late springplates where longer than early :)

The 'A' arms are different too, it's a lot of work changing the whole torsion tube, but if that's what you need to do there's no reason why you couldn't get an early one, they do get broken up too.

:)
