Managed to make a trip in it this weekend for its first run. Really happy with how it drove and was nice to see it somewhere different to the workshop.

Amazing fabrication, I see you’ve extended the rear valance to meet the raised engine did you lift the box as well or just and a tilt to the engine like the boys in the USA do?

Lifter the box and engine using a beetle box and split nose cone to pal

Started chipping away at repairing the original interior and getting the top bunk sorted, finished off with a new roof canvas.

Just waiting on the rusty lee bed and a few other bits hopefully in time for the summer

6 years later and had the first weekend away with my 3 lads and wife.
They all loved it so was well worth the effort.
