As it says a complete and original 71 Deluxe Microbus just acquired from the states, same owner for the last 15 years and in truly excellent condition. This is the report from a trusted buyer in the states:
The owner has had it for about 15 years. Here's the +/-: Any white paint you see on or in the bus is completely original. The blue paint is mostly original I think. Certainly under the bus, in the engine bay and in the bus the blue is original. The outside is either original or a good paint job. There are a few dings and dents as seen in the pictures.
it's got a good deal of grunt thanks to the 1835cc engine and dual carbs. It cruises nicely at 65mph. Foot brakes work fine but the handbrake works poorly. (needs adjusting) Indicators all work but emergencies only flash on the front. Headlights work on full but dont dip when the switch is pulled. Wipers work ok. Horn doesnt work. Radio works good (loud) and CD skips a bit.
Gears shifted good and it has a smooth ride.(Shocks work well) Steering is firm and responsive. The exhaust sounds really throaty! All windows open good. All doors open good. The only rust is under the windshield. Front seats have new covers that match the other original covers. A very, very dry and original bus! Splutters a tiny bit but adjustments to the carbs would fix that. Tyres have tread but have cracks relating to age, might need replacing at some point.
So all in all a very good bus with original microbus seats that will take a once over the mechanicals to get through an MOT, bus is still in the states at the moment but can be secured with a holding deposit. More desirable than a poptop Westy in my humble opinion, put some z bed hinges in, some JK Thermal window covers and you have a useable minibus and camper all in one.
Price is £7500 Landed with all duties paid or £8750 with an MOT and V5
In addition to the above can be slammed with a Slamwerks King & Link Pin And Creative Rear Adjusters, contact us for a price to do this
