Glad to hear you got it running, KJet is lovely simple old system once you get you're head around it :D

If you're running the full Porsche CDS ignition, then make sure that the coil is *exactly* the right one (check the part numbers), they're kind of sensitive to it. Spent a long while learning that one the hard way on our old 911T.... ;)

sneaky little tubs arrived today so the bodyshop are going to fit these before getting bus in primer.

ok, so i'm back from my first music festival. absolutely loved it! it was dry on the fri and saturday, but constantly rained on sunday until about 10pm. having said that, i loved it :) luckily this mornign at 5:30a.m the rain stopped for us to pack everything up. was a good laugh and i'm pretty sure i will do it again.

as for the documenting of the wheel tubbing i am hoping that the bodyshop have finished fitting the tubs by the time i pop up and look on tuesday afternoon so probably no pics.

lucky for you andy they havent done as much work as i had hoped, so some pics

old seatbelt mount cut out, cleaned out then puddle and seam welded on the underside of the tub:

the rear of the wheel arch has been slightly scalloped to accomodate the strengthening pressings on the seat bulkheads:

fully seam welded in, both in the cab area and in the wheel arch.

they were just welding the other one in place so hopefully will be sorted by the time I go up on friday. the garage didnt look to be that busy when i went up there this lunchtime so hoping that they will make some progress this week.

the had also sorted the pinholes in the floor too. only a little left to do to the lower half before primer.

Your loss and my gain

Looking very good and should allow plenty of wheel articulation :D

Ok, so i popped up to see the bus and couldnt have timed it better. they have been busy...they were just about to put the first paint on the bus, high build primer

tubs all in:

not sure whether i have chosen correctly, but i opted not to filler over the welds. i decided it was better to show the welds so people knew that the tubs were put in correctly.

The bus has been masked up to primer the outside up to the roof, and the cab area:
