I'm adding this note to our original post so thought I'd make it stand out a bit.

Firstly thanks for all the very helpful advice from more experienced forum members.

As a result I'm going to spend some time this weekend and sort the van out a bit and get some new pictures.

I'll then repost and do my best to describe what I think needs doing to the van.

We are selling our 1972 danbury crossover

We took it off the road in 2008. We'd had engine problems, a valve I think and after several rebuilds we gave up.

Planning to restore it but it's just sat while we had a baby and did the house up.

Time to pass it on, I'm sure it needs all the usual things doing
