Unfortunately we have come to the decision to sell Tex our 1972 crossover deluxe LHD Texan import, due to moving house and needing funds to do improvements.
We’ve owned tex for 8 years since being in the UK, always dry stored in a garage so has stayed rust free.
Original paint/patina
2litre twin carb runs really well
Full hookup, leisure battery split charge relay and cTek battery charger/maintenance
Planer 2kw diesel heater with silent pump and thermostat panel
Rusty lee full width rock and roll bed (needs foam upholstering)
Led spots and reading light
Fully sound proofed and insulated
Front seats blasted, sprayed, new horsehair pads and covers
Full set of OEM door and weary window seals with sale
Khyam quick erect awning included
Recent receipt for full service, new push rod tubes fuel lines and brake calliper.
Overall very solid van, all inner and outer panels Intact, panel lines straight as and rust free underneath.
Couple of issues of course.
Fuel gauge recently decided to quit (possible sender)
Could do with the front dash rewiring, the Texan heat has made the cables brittle (could also have something to do with the fuel gauge issue)
Front panel has a ding to it, she came to the Uk this way and we think it adds character, maybe possible to pull out.
Great van to keep the original patina or a real solid van to fully Reno. My plan was to always go the clear coat, lower and nice new wheels way but never got round to it.
Any questions just PM me and I’ll happily provide more pics when the weather pics up to get out the garage.
Cheers lee
