1991 VW POLO GT HATCHBACK FOR SALE NEW PRICE, Must Go!!
£995 ono
Has done just over 89,000 miles.
Has MOT until August 2012 and tax til the end of November.
OTHER GOOD POINTS:-
The engine and gearbox are superb – this car has been TOTALLY reliable since I bought it in Feb 2010. The cambelt was last changed at 63,000 miles.
-The bodywork is generally in excellent straight, rust-free condition (though not perfect – see NOT SO GOOD POINTS)
-Has a factory-fitted sunroof in perfect working order with no leaks.
-The tyres were all new this year so have masses of tread left.
-Has an immobiliser.
-Service history until 2006 and all MOTs since to verify the mileage.
-The front is lowered on 40mm springs with new standard shocks.
-Has a Sony CD/radio with mp3 socket, though the radio has recently stopped working (CD & mp3 still work fine).
-I had a towbar fitted which has only had occasional light use.
-Had all brake flexi-hoses and load sensing valve replaced at the last MOT.
NOT SO GOOD POINTS:
-Small marks here and there – lacquer flaking a little on the sunroof, small kink on the n/s/f wing and passenger door, tiny rust bubble under sticker on the tailgate!
-Small hole on n/s rear light cluster.
-The blue high beam warning lamp on the dash doesn’t work (this doesn’t affect the lights).
-The red strip on the rear bumper started coming away so I peeled it right off.
-Temporary aerial.
This is a cracking car that as you may know is very rare in hatchback form (75 left on the UK roads according to howmanyleft.co.uk). I have it on limited mileage Classic Car Insurance so is cheap to insure and tax.
