2 years into restoration 1970 early bay shell built at home

hi all
bit of a mess when i got the shell.

but 2 years on,lots of welding and sanding, and days on ebay.. and vw shows, she~s taking shape.
hope to be on the road by next year. hopefully!
done all the work myself, and im going to spray her burnt orange, in 2k paint. this summer
if we get one.

have now bought my paint
this funky orange, but will have metal flake in my base coat.
hopefully will spay her in next couple of months.
and i~ll put some more pics on when im done

P.s. Have you seen 'cockney play boy's bus? He's just painted his orange...might give you a glimpse of what yours will look like....

thankfully the neighbours are cool !!
but im up for work early, so get back at dinnertime normally.
so most of em are out.
gives me a few hours to get the loud stuff out the way,
