Hi,
I've just bought a 71 bay from Nevada, it's dry as a bone shell wise, but appears to be lacking in the mechanicals department.

I've just tried to fit a new clutch cable, but unfortunately I've not been able to do this as the metal tube / conduit that the cable runs in is bent & kinked so the old cable whilst still working (just) can't be adjusted because I can't pull the wing nut adjuster away from the clutch arm. It needs a new tube!

I've looked on line, but I can't find any replacement tube parts other than the flex conduit.

Has anybody else had this problem and what did you do to fix it?

Is it the Bowden tube you need?

No, it's not the flexi Bowden tube, it's the solid conduit pipe / tube that the cable runs through along the length of the chassis.

I'm presuming that it's supposed to run through this tube?

The tube is not anything special, you would be able to buy it from a steel stockist or online (but postage would be high due to length) I believe AHSchofield used to list it but it is only std tube ( might be listed as pipe!)

No idea on size I'd guess at 10mm with a 1.0-1.2 wall thickness or similar

EDIT please measure before buying I was just guessing...

Nah, I just keep the lights off and tell her she has a large vagina.

Excellent, I think I'll have a go at sleeving it first.

If I don't have any joy with that method, I'll get some tube.

Thanks.
