'72 Petrol Flap Spring Fitting?

I have a crossover bay that a took the fuel flap off to take and get some paint mixed.

Anyway I didn't get the paint straight away and lost the spring, I ordered a new one from Heritage but I don't know how to fit it correctly.

I have fitted it with the rounded part to where it bolts to bus but the flap is loose and flaps about, it didn't before.

Can anyone tell or show me how it should be fitted?

Thanks sparkywig, but I had already seen this post but it is different to mine as it is the earlier style.

I have searched on here, google, thesamba, vzi, but cannot find any pics of the late flap spring fitted. I can find plenty with it loose.
