Hi all, i'm currently importing a 72 Riviera from the States WA, and i'm going to get hit with import duty and Vat, how can i avoid it??
I know about Return goods relief but how can i prove it was manufactured in west Germany and shipped to WA?
Please help

Hi Mate,
Just imported 2 myself and i am sorry to say no duty and vat have to be paid. as well as dock fees (unloading,storage,etc). Unless anybody knows another way.

No way around it if you ever want to register it in this country as you need proof that duty has been paid in order to get a UK reg, look for posts on the 5% BTI tariff, theres a few of those recently.
