Help! I've been trying to fit a new accelerator cable and it will not go through the last 6 inches of the tube  . any suggestions please :?:

Just done this, had the same problem. All I can say is get someone to help push the cable and you get your hand in behind the fan housing to help feed it in to the tube that runs through the fan housing. You'll get there in the end!

My wife wasn't overly pleased with having to crawl under the van to help though, she kept thinking it would fall off the wheel ramps!

you can use a length of welding wire pushed from carb end of tube ,use insulation tape butt join cable .pull wire gently and push cable at same time :!: asistant needed :!: or very long arms  good luck

thanks for ideas, should have explained better  its the last 6 inches of the tube by the gearbox I can't get it through. the tube looks ok condition wise but it just will not go through.

is it worth poking a wire coat hanger (straigtened) through to check that the path is clear?
