Accelerator cable length?

Am i right in thinkin that my van registered april 1972 should have need an accelerator cable 3420mm in length only asking cause everywhere offers two sizes!

If anyone can confirm the correct size it'd be a massive help!

depends what engine you've got. 1600 single carb and T4 twin carb need different lengths...
