air filter setup?

looking for pics of oil bath airfilter setup,which pipe goes where and tinware needed/not needed,does that big pipe have to go thru rear tin or just well something else :lol: does it just vent air or if the pipe is not connected will it coat the engine bay in oil.
bit of a learning curve this

that big pipe goes through the rear tin and has a piece of tin (often missing) that collects hot air for correct fiter operation.

does a represent pipe which fits on top of carb?but confused with b and c :?

afew questions.....................
what is "C" and where does it go/hook up to?
where does"A" go on the carb? surely not where the dissy takes the vacum from?would it not affect the carb running??
and lastly the big silver pipe coming from oil bath and dissappearing thru rear tinware...where does it go to?? or what and how does it attach to??
any help appreciated.
