Alternator pulley fouling

Hi,

I've noticed a few score marks on the face of the alternator and am pretty sure it's the pulley, is it something I should worry about or is it merely a case of putting a washer between the two?

Not particularly, not when the engine is running anyway, when I spin it by hand I can hear it though,

It's obviously not a regular problem then!

Its an extremely common issue some will clearance the alternator case....

Be careful with that cos if its catching during running, that lateral pressure can wear down the squared off hole in the centre of the pulley and cause it to get loose.
