Can anyone recommend an agent out there if I was to buy a bay that can deal with it because I haven't got a clue  Not having much luck finding something yet. I dont want to buy a lemon :( Or is it possible to buy from looking at pictures, find a nice one and do it myself ?

Check with Graham from Midland early bay or Dave aka is'it on here, they know people over there.
You can buy from photo's plenty of people have, just ask for loads of photo's and if your not happy ask for more. I kept asking about one bus but he wouldn't show me the areas i wanted to see so it wasn't worth the gamble.
Kingstown shipping will bring it over, they can collect too or ask the seller to drop it at the docks.

Would they, do they take care of paperwork for a small fee ?

Kingstown do everything for you. I used them to import my first bus and they were fantastic. Collected the bus at the port in the US and had it delivered to my door, all the paperwork and tax taken care of.

I bought mine from the states just looking at pictures. I used kingstown shipping, they arranged everything from collecting it from the sellar, shipping it over, all the papaerwork and arranged for it to be delivered to my door.

I bought mine from a guy on here called raconsmoot (conrad) he has one for sale at the moment...

Worth having a chat with him if you are serious.

I did it this way ... I also got a call at three in the morning to tell me the transport driver had the car and the title in his hand ... Then I PayPaled the money and went back to bed

If the seller is a good one like the one I had he sent me a video of the vehicle

Hi,
I bought a bus "cold" from the samba. My missus thought I was mad, but I checked him out by asking Everett Barnes - he had sold 15 buses that year, so I took a gamble. Paid him, got the title (copy) in the post and all other docs. He also gave me a shipping agent in Long beach and 5 weeks later Kingston rang me and stung me for a few hundred quid.

You'll save a good few grand cutting out the middleman. but there are dangers doing it this way.

A friend of mine bought a bus from The Samba but used Randy from oldbug.com to check it out, take more photos, do the final haggling, handle payment and get it to the docks. He then used Kingston to get it shipped. Everything went perfectly and Randy turned out to be a great guy. The bus was exactly as he described.

Give Ryan a bell at Clifton campers, or take a look on his web-site. He'll find you what you want and you can pick it up near Bristol.

I was going to ask what's the best way to pay for something across the pond, sounds risky to me :?
