Hey there,

I currently run the atlas flaps on my Bus but am sick of them looking so crap so I am thinking about buying some proper whitewall tyres

I want to get the widest whitewall possible to fit the standard 14" wheels, but am limited with the availability here in Oz.

I need to find out if a 205 width tyre will fit on my bus, which is lowered 1 spline at the rear and 2-3 inches at the front

Has anyone tried running 205/70/14's or 205/75/14's? Any problems with scrubbing on the rear arches? Or would I be best going with a 195/75/14?

I am currently running 185R14/C's all round.

Any thoughts or guidance is appreciated - JOSH

josh,

i had 195 75`s all round on my stock bus and had no probs even when lowered apart from them looking like doughnuts....the spare had a 205 on though so can assume it was ok

Mr whitewalls dude!! Or Ant as hes known in these parts, Bet its FAR cheaper than whitewalls especially if your tyre are in good nick.

think it might be a little too far for ant to travel fella

Get to a show hes at  Thats my plan anyway  finish my van though first though eh

Thanks guys - I need a 2.5 - 3 inch whitewall from the edge of my rim and the whitewall guys here reckon that they can't guarantee that they will be able to do a proper job due to the curve on the tyre over that width

So my question still stands in relation to the 205 tyres - will they work?

So is no-one out there running 205's?

I want to go and get these tyres next week so if anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
