So I've fitted TH 3.5" dropped drum spindles on our 69 Microbus and dropped the rear one spline. Still sitting on the white walls she crossed the pond on which are huge 205 85 14's. Rear is fine for now but the front need changing. We are keeping the original steels as they are original paint as is van. It would appear that 175 65 14 is a common van load rated tyre 90T or 6 ply and this would also lighten the steering a little compared to the 205's. Any advice greatly received. Will be uprating front shocks to gas filled to.

as she sits now with backdown one spline

I'm running 175/70/14c with those spindles and the gaz coil overs

Very occasionally if I hit a larger bump or go round a roundabout too fast :) most the time it's fine though
