Any onework in an engineering shop on here?

after learning that to close the sliding door on my van easily without slaming it, you idealy need to push the back end in while lifting the handle, i finaly understood the reason behind this handle (for closing the door easily and silently from the inside)

now i'm no engineer myself, but even i can see that the metal bracket required cant be that hard to make and that the handle is ust a standard vw one, now the question is, does any one have the facilities to make these? bearing in mind that this one sold on ebay for £30!!!

yeah £30 and all you are really getting for that is the metal bracket, i bought a handle on the weekend for £2!!!

Have you not got the canvas strap "handle" on the other end of the door then?
Always assumed it was a vw thing, will try to take pics of mine, I also promised you some pics of other stuff a while back - apologies been a bit busy will try and catch up with that as well.

I've not got one of them... all I have is the VW handle on the inside, and a metal thing which is useful to push with

all i have is a handle on the front and two bolts the other end, am i missing something??

no worries about the other photos, i know what its like to be busy!

that dummy handle was an optional extra just to assist you to close the door from inside. the standard on vans was just the handle at the front and nothing at the rear.

Had one of them dummy handles on my '68 Devon god i loved that bus why did i sell it.
