Travelling to spain this summer, and wondered if anybody had used a good breakdown company willing to cover a 39 year old van.
Cheers in advance
Leon

I was refused cover with the AA last year as they presume a vehicle over 30 yo "must" have done over 100k miles & they won't cover anything over 100k miles
RAC no problem 8)
but have switched this year to the European cover offered by Adrian Flux...£75 lots of little extras thown in & about £15 cheaper 8)

took my 79 panel round europe 2002 and never broke down once in 5000 miles  My mate however in an ldv broke a gearbox in spain and when the recovery truck came the cheeky so and so`s tried to load my van...they couldn`t belive the call out was for a 5yr old bus as opposed to a 30 yr old bus. He was with green flag who were great. Make sure you have your insurance covered. I was with adria flux and i had to get a green card or something. Not sure if green flag still exists but i`m sure if you look around you`ll get the right cover....try not to miss Galicia as it`s the most beautiful unspoilt part of spain that often gets overlooked by people. The surf is awesome there just respect the locals and the seafood is to die for. It`s like a warm scotland!

Cheers guys!
Funny story, LDV van.
My insurance is with adrian flux, maybe they'll do a deal.

Norton Heritage Insurance do short term cover on old stuff.

I just got my breakdown cover with adrian flux, a year for £75. I thought this was a really good deal, the only down side is you have to take it out with insurance as well.
Now i can travel to spain with piece of mind :)
