After fully rebuilding my brakes I made the stupid mistake of buying some new rear hub nuts (febi bilstein) ones which obviously are no way as good a quality as my old gen ones and have lead to the stripping of one of my stub axles .I should of reused the gen ones which were far more of a better fit. Anyway that time has passed and now I'm faced with needing a pair of rear stub axles for my 69 . Does anyone know if they are available to buy new .Im not prepared to pay £200 per axle from custom and commercial for their reworked old ones ,but I'm sure I'd seen somewhere that either over here or in the states they were available new .?
Anyone apart from C&C sell new 68-70 stub axles ?

They appear on ebay very occasionally - I got a NOS pair from there.

They are a real PITA to find. I recently discovered that VolksMagic have some used, £75/pop. Otherwise apparently there's somewhere in the US that makes them... But nobody seems to have any in stock, so I suspect theyve gone bump.
