Sure i saw a picture on here or in a mag recentjy of an earlybay with towelrail bumpers.
Question is....Were they from a splitty & were the overiders from a splitty n modified to fit?

Any help would be apreciated as earlybay overiders are a little thin(very thin) on the ground and am considdering modifiying
some splitty ones.

Cheers Rich

towel rail bumpers for a bay.....................you can get plastic ones but the company name escapes me...they do roofs/beetle pick-up bodies and other stuff.........

I may have a set of 4 US overriders coming up soon but not the common square ones, small pointed ones similar to splitty ones

i saw this photo and thought it looked good, only prolem on the front is that they would obsure the indicators!

they would have to be custom too, as the front of a bay is flatter than a splitty

There's definitely one with towel rails on here somewhere. I know it's blue, I've also seen it on the T2D blog a little while back but the name escapes me. I'm sure I read they were splitty bumpers though.

Riviera roof company?

I remember them on here too, pretty sure they were split ones modified and fitted to the bay bumpers, think the indicators may have been moved too.

it is a van off here owned by a guy called adamski. it had them front and rear and has the front indicators moved slightly so they arent obscured. he had them front and rear but removed the front recently as he slammed it. v nice bus

yep that would them.....expensive me thinks....

 After being all gee'd up about towelrail bumpers last night i slept on it and woke up undecided.
Took a picture into work of the blue van with the fancy bumpers and put it to acouple of workmates who are
classic car/bike nuts to get their opinions.
Neither of them liked it saying it removed sertain lines from the bus that should stay, tbh i agree
So il now be in search of some early bay items.
Thanks all for your opinions and input

Rich

Look awesome on the back, been wanting to do this to mine for a while.

With the front I guess you could get rid of the stock indicators and incorporate an amber bulb into the head lights?
Would stop the front from looking too cluttered but would take some fiddling to modify the headlamp reflectors without damaging the silvering?

Don't do it.
x1

Ive decided not to now.
I kept clear of the bodyshop today/yesterday so that i didnt on the spur of the moment say"can you move my indicator holes please ?"

Going sea fishing in the morning till sunday eve 8)
Next time i could see the bus is Monday lunch time.By then(hopefully) the new lower section of my van will be fitted.
So if on Monday i want the holes moving it will cost a fair bit extra on my bill, and am at almost full stretch on my budget already.
Basicly im saying that im leaving it as VW intended 8)

Hoooooooooooosier....this is them.......
