Hi guys,

i'm thinking of starting a blog of the trips i do in the bus. i would like to show things like the routes i take, the campsites i stay at and some general chit chat. i was thinking mainly for long 2week trips in the summer, but also thinking it would be good for weekends away around the UK.

does anyone do this? or know of a good site?

i found this when i was looking....epic trip and only half way around lol:

Hi Nathan

Quite a few of us on here use Tumblr (including Loxy)

See link below in my signature

Yes it is, you can post pictures, text, videos whatever you want and people can follow you if they like.

Theres a Android & Apple app that lets you post without being at a computer, you use it how you want and if you include the link on your email or EB posts people can follow your trip,

The one you posted a link to is more of a personal website than a public blog,

Very high level guide....!

For pretty pictures with an (optional) line of description, use Tumblr
see graham's example 8)

For a blog with more words to accompany your finest snapshots, try something like WordPress.
Happy bus travels example for you :D

If you really want to read and i sugest if you start, do it from the begining @ http://www.bodeswell.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Been my daily fix for the last year more or less, and jelousy steams out of my ears!

I was writing a blog during a particularly tough period a little while back. I haven't updated it for a while, so in case anybody reads it and wonders what happened next, it has a positive outcome.

I started a blog about my 2 x harley davidson motorbikes rusting apart as a guide to others in the same boat: http://rusty48.blogspot.com - really simple to use, though slightly limiting (things like sorting entries from newest first to oldest first)

wow - emotional story, certainly had me hooked throughout and rooting for you! - glad to hear there was a positive outcome, would be great to finish it off (and well written...sure you haven't got a book in you? ;) )

Yeah just read it all as well. Glad it worked out! And as lard says you should finish it off!

Thanks, yes I should finish it. Had thought about doing something bigger with it but just taking it easy for the mo.

That is the beauty of a blog, it can be whimsical, informative or heart wrenching, as Beef shows. We all have a book in us, apparently, though thankfully mine is at the mindless-stuff end of the spectrum. Glad it worked out for you, Beef.

I find that Blogspot meets my needs. See below.

Not a blog as such but some friends of my brothers drove round the world with their 3 kids in a type 25, they have just written a book about it.
