Anyone tried lowering a Dormobile?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has lowered a Dormy, they are quite a bit heavier than a tintop due to the belly pans and rather large amount of strengthening metal around the pop top which apparently is heavier than Westys and other conversions, with the possible exception of the Vikings which are pretty hefty.

If they're heavier already then they'll sit lower I guess!

There's no more roof strengthening in a Dormobile than any other conversion.
In actual fact other than a bent piece of 1" angle across the rear of the hole there was f*ck all in mine. :lol:

Mine is down 1 spline and on adjusters no worries. As sparky said just the belly pans as any other bus with a hole in roof, and i cut the side ones out to repair some rot and it hasnt fallen to bits.......yet!

Could go lower with tubs and notches, but then I'd never get into my mate's workshop......
