As title says are they worth it?

Got a 1641 single port engine and we are thinking of adding a deep sump to add extra cooling to the oil or is it a waste of time?

Cheers

Wont give you any extra cooling - just more hot oil when it gets upto temp
If you need extra cooling an external oil cooler is required

Why do you think your engine is running hot?
Mine is a standard 1600 lump and has been all over europe without overheating in 30+ degrees ambient temps

Deep sumps are to lower the mass and get the oil from mushing up in the crank and hard cornering.

Take longer to heat all that a oil. But a deep sump won't cool the extra oil.

Fix the issue first then add your bling
