Back from EBI 3 (a Photo thread)

What a great weekend, the weather, the racing, the company and the beer were all great. Once again managed to get a Pit Pass so got some great photos (i think i had Jesus on my side this year )
Will up load some piccy later when ive recovered abit more.

Nice to see all the EB boys and the Ilson massive.

I'm not sure it's gonna be on next year, rumour is that Kobus and Freddy are looking to run EBI every 2 years so it coincides with either Hessich Oldendorf or Bad Camberg.

Personally i think it's a great idea

Well as some of you are aware, Callum and I had a bit of an adventure getting to EBI3 but we made it in the end, To cut a long story short we left Solihull at 1.30 on Thursday afternoon, broke down on the A14 at about 3pm and got pulled off the carriageway by the police (faulty fuel gauge we think and massive vapourisation) led to the bus not running well at all, finally met with Pete B at Cambridge services 15 minutes late at 5.15pm but bus was not right so after a bit of tinkering we waved Pete & Aaron off to Dover and decided to head back to the unit at Tamworth to see if we could fix the problem. Back to the unit for 8.15pm fitted a spare carb, took it for a quick blast to check all was OK so at 9.30pm we set off for Dover for the second time!!. Got to Dover at 1.30am and caught the 4am Ferry and met up with Pete & Aaron on the dockside at Dunkerque at 6am to carry on with the journey. So no sleep but we both wanted to go to EBI3 so it didn't matter really and boy was it worth it in the end, some of our piccies below:

Wow, wow and wow again! What a top weekend helped all the more by great company and scorching weather. The award for most dedication has to go Graham L for the forwards, backwards, forwards trip to Dover! Thank you to Clyde for guiding us to the overnight spot at Dunkirk, good to meet you fella. Thank you to Graham and Tom Tom for guiding us to Chimay. Thanks to Steve (Ego) & Liv for saving space for us at the campsite. HUGE thank you to Aarons Mum for agreeing to his coming on the trip (would not have been half as good without my co-pilot!). And the biggest thank you of all has to be shared between Clyde and Clem, their combined enthusiasm and encouragement convinced me to actually make the trip, and boy was it worth it! Thank you so much guys, my boy said on the way home, 'Thanks for taking me Dad, this trips the BEST thing I've ever done!' Like they say on the Mastercard ads, somethings are priceless....sniff...

We had a fantastic time, had great company all weekend, watched some great racing and can't wait untill the next time!
Oh yes, biggest thank you has to really go to my bus, which barring a couple of minor hiccups got us there and back safe and sound. I love my bus!
