Hi,

I recently been experiencing problems with my vans engine backfiring. It started with one of the carbs Coming loose and causing the engines to fire on only two cilinders. I have cleaned both carbs out and fitted them back on and adjusted the timing. All seemed well on tick over, but after taking it for a spin it has started to backfire. It only seems to do it at lower speeds, if for example I'm traveling at 50mph it seems ok, where as at 30mph it pops and backfires.

Nothing seems to have come loose since fitted the carbs back, but I confess to not using new gasket due to the parts shop giving the wrong rebuild kits. The carbs are twin weber 34s.

Could it just be a case of them needs to be reset? Even though none of the mixing screws were touched.
