I'm looking to get a narrowed and lowered beam for my 1970 bay... I saw some guy the other day and he said he was going for a split king pin beam as it does away with ball joints... Who sells these... anyone? Plus I am I right in thinking you need new spindles, trailing arms and probably drum brakes or disks?? That all sounds rather expensive if you ask me....

So I am probably going to go with a balljoint beam... anyone seem this fella on ebay?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-TYPE2-BAY-1968-78-4-NARROWED-ADJUSTABLE-FRONT-BEAM_W0QQitemZ360017956019QQihZ023QQcategoryZ27385QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
seems far enough but only has one adjuster which does not really float my boat. Anyone else done the beam thing and are the ball joints really that liable to snap if you lower up to 5" or so??

Thanks all and happy friday :D
