I'm sure that some of you guys and gals have gone for the full size beds for comfort and all that, but WHERE is a good and reasonably priced place to get one from. I've seen kthem on JLK but was wondering whether there was anywhere else?

Cheers!

Have to agree, I have one fitted in mine. So easy to operate, can be done one handed when drunk. :D

I got a qoute to include the over engine cushion a few months ago approx 650 all in all not bad....or you can get the frame and do the rest yourself...get to one of the shows and check em out as I said earlier their upholstery is quality....

In order for these to be fixed in securely you need to take the engine and petrol tank out so that you can bolt them in otherwise they are just held in with self tapping screws.

another point is that when in the seat posion they are too high so your head is in the ceiling and when sat on them you can't bend your knees as the seat part is too wide.

A mate of mine got one and was not to pleased as well as the above points the hinge mech fell apart after a short use

not good and he sent it back

Is this right - you have to take the engine and fuel tank out? Trying to plan my interior and this would certainly add some extra effort!

I can imagine the height issue is true. My home brew rock and roll bed has the same problem. Because of the design of my hinges, the seat base is level with the rear load area.
It doesnt bother me too much as in the years ownership i have probably sat on it for less than an hour.
Currently im looking to go back to standard micro bus seats. Second option would be a bluebird frame, followed my a good condition westy bed.
