Thinking of trading my car for a van ,And thought I'd ask you guys for your thoughts on which has the best rep for reliability and all that sort of stuff pros and cons, Someone I know said the Renault kangoo /berlingo what do you think or suggest something else cheers Frankie.

I'll be doing just average miles using it like a car but got the van space if the job requires it.Frankie

I've bought a vw caddy for the mrwhitewalls business. Currently installing a rear seat conversion, So i can seat(belted) 5 peeps and this also means i can fold the rear seats and retain all the van space if needed. A 1.9d is will run for ever properly serviced and they are good on fuel too.(i got 450miles out if the last tank full,£45ish).its also a vw so its ticks all my boxes. Heres a pic of mine, slightly modded of course 8)

Ant the caddy looks like another van I looked at you know like the dispatch is to the scudo the caddy is to the??help so caddy is a good one then cheap parts or dear cheers Frankie.

mk caddy based on a polo so parts are cheap ebay/breakers etc

If you have a look see on ebay check the mileages on some of them 180,000/200,000 are not uncomman. When i was looking they all seemed to have done a massive amount of mileage. I love my little van so useful and versatile

Ant,

The rain must have washed the writing off your wheels - don't use water colors any more :)

ive had a few connects and couldent fault em,i thought they were alot better than the french/italian stuff

I've been using a Renault Kangoo lately and can say that this van is typical of what gave french vehicles a poor reputation for build quality. Ok, it's not new, 51 plate, 87k, but it's falling to bits! Not particularly nice to drive either. Used a Peugeot Partner (I think, the little one...) older, more miles, but tons better, cracking little thing. If I was going for a small van, the Pug would be high up on the list. Have spoken to several people with VW Caddys, they all love them too.
