Decided it would be better to park CyByL in my garden so got a dropped kerb, only trouble is she's under a 100ft Lime tree :? :? I never realised how much birds shit  Just went and cleaned loads off and while I was doing it another great pooh landed right next to me

Anyone got any clever ideas of removing it? also is the Just Kampers cover washable? I would rather not have to keep putting the cover on because I like looking out the window at her but I also don't like having bird pooh under my nails :?

Its not just the birds either. You will be surprised at how much stuff the lime tree will drop as well - not good for the paint :(

The best solution would be a simple lightweight car port with those semi clear plastic roof panels IMO but not sure what the rules are or what the neighbours may think etc.

Nice looking bus - like the colour :)

Cheers Trikky :)

The tree is always dropping something, twigs and branches in the winter, leaf sheaths at the moment, then it will be black aphid pooh fungus and leaves in the Autumn  Its a lovely old tree though and I can't imagine it not being there (plus I got a TPO on it)

Was thinking of putting some posts in and a tarp roof of some kind but I have to be careful of the roots, then I realised its a great big post in itself and am trying to think of ways to use it, maybe get an old sail in the branches somehow

Good quality traffic film remover will soften it and shift the tree sap. Just remember if your buying in bulk read the instructions for dilution and only leave it on for a few minutes before washing it off.

clay bar will remove the sticky tree sap,but its pointless until you've found a remedy to protecting the bus from the tree.
ref the bird poo, be carefull washing it off as bird poo contains soil and grit, so if you go rubbing away at it - you may find lovely scratches once its gone - I've put some deep swirls in the bonnet of my Vectra by doing that.Try soaking the brid poo first by placing a soggy toilet tissue over it,come back in 15 mins and it will scoop right off. also never leave it on - it contains acid that can burn into the paintwork,if you see it - get it off!!

I like the idea of a cheap gazebo, and makro do them fairly frequently in various sizes. They often have green and white striped ones. If you haven`t got a trade card for makro , you will need one, but they are easy enough to get, so long as you are a business,, knock up a headed note paper for type two tattoo bus renovations or some such bollox. They`ll be happy with that 8) Going back to the birdy pooo, don`t worry too much about getting it out of your nails, it`s when it gets stuck between your teeth you may have problems

Ozziedog,,,,,,,, Bad Dog, ;)

P.S. Nice bus and nice tree 8) 8) 8)

Good idea to use the tree as on of the posts. A tarp should do it, but will have to be angled to make sure twigs, rain, dead animals etc roll of it.

Bus and tree do make a nice photo too

Sounds like you been enjoying the sunny afternoon,,, possibly somewhere near booze ????? You just new I`d tell ed off for that didn`t you, ;)

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,, Bit of a hugger,,, ;)

A lot of petrol heads are happy to drive through trees but you gotta find the balance, no trees no petrol .... eventuuuaaallly :)

Good man ozzie!¬ I will buy you a beer when I come across you in a field somewhere ;p) x x x

How about a garden sail????....ive been looking into getting one for my back garden recently, they come in all shapes and colours and much better to look at than an old gazebo imo, you can use the tree to fix it too if you go for a big triangular one

just an idea..................kev

Luvvvvvvvin this idea,, hadn`t even crossed my mind, but it sounds perfect for this application. I have seen a couple in a kiddies nursery for shade and gotta say they look fantastic, if that can be made to fit in with your tree and bus and a couple of ground anchors, that`s the best idea I`ve heard for ages,, and defo gets my vote ! Wish it was my house now so I could do it !!!

Ozziedog,,,,,, Poetic ! :D :D :D

Sorry, i meant to say a good quality cover and TFR for removing any spots.

y takes any notice of me either Ozzie, earlier in this post I mentioned I was thinking about putting a sail up

Our old neighbours had the same problem, put up one of those fine green mesh shade sails and it did a pretty good job of keeping the worst off, especially sap and leaves. ;)

Though a tarp would still be a cheaper option!

Hey T2T,,, I think that was just me being dim,,, I didn`t equate what you were saying until my brain was engaged with the thought process induced by a third party,,, And that is often the case with aged grey matter. I`ll hold you to that beer in a field
