Brake Distance Bar Return Spring Clip?

Hi,

Removed my rear brakes to find on one side only that it had a Brake Distance Bar Return Spring clip, as shown by number 32 here:

It is listed as a late bay part, though wondered if people fit them? The certainly felt more rigid.

Yes defo fit them it keeps the bar in-place (If it was fitted by VW then its there for a purpose)
