anyone ever had brake failure after fitting all new parts. My bus decided to blow a rear wheel cylinder and shred the shoes at the same time. Its had all new pipes, flexis, wheel cylinders and master cylinder. This ever happened to anyone else or am i just really unlucky? I still had one circuit operable so not terrible but very scary nonetheless

nothing so extreme as your Deluxe, but did have a wheel cylinder go within 100 miles on a bug..... it was cheap, I learnt my lesson....

Ive had a new slave cylinder go on my Alpine a couple of years ago after only a couple of miles :?
It was a brand new repo, probably made out of a recycled proton.

Looks like you are just unlucky, who supplied it?

Fitted all new front cylinders & shoes to mine (gsf supplied bits),one cylinder was leaking by the time i`d got the wheels back on
Cheap parts, other 3 fitted were fine.....

A new cylinder went on a mates split due to an imperfection in the casting resulting in his barndoor using a the back of a skip lorry to stop
