take someone with you, always helps to have fresh eyes, and someone who knows what they are looking at

thats my advice

sure a local club will have someone who meets that description

don't buy too quikly . take your time to fully inspect the van
if you can't restore it yourself look for something with not too many work .
better be sure than be sorry

oh and buy with your eyes not your hart

My tip - don't necessarily buy the first van you see!
It's very tempting when you've got the cash in your pocket but you need to remember that you'll (hopefully) be having the van for years to come and pouring your time and hard earned £££'s into it - look at a few and remember that if it seems too good to be true - it probably is!
Last thing - haggle a bit over the price; every pound you save on the purchase price is a pound you can spend fixing/tricking up/customising it!
Very last thing... Love your van, however good/bad it turns to be!
;)
